چکیده
The grid-connected dual-PWM adjustable speed drives (ASDs) modulate the energy of motor torque oscillation and inject it into power system, potentially causing low-frequency (LFO) in grid. In this study, considering harmonic common-modulation both-side converters, precise sequence impedance models are derived for ASDs using linearisation method. Based on ASD, oscillation, which is equivalent to time-varying impedance, causes a series discontinuities at torque-oscillation-related frequencies its amplitude-frequency curve. Moreover, these discontinuous drops make more likely intersect with curve grid may lead LFO Then, by applying proposed model Bode plot, stability grid-ASD cascade system assessed. conclusions analysis demonstrate exact mechanism that mechanical oscillations grid-converter instability through coupling ASD. Finally, experimental results 3 kW ASD laboratory measured distribution Shanghai Yangshan Deepwater Port area verify correctness effectiveness assessment.

Speed Observer Design for Linear Induction Motor Drives
In this paper, a neural network model reference adaptive system speed observer is designed, which can be used in speed control of linear induction motors (LIMs). Dynamical equations of LIM have been considered accurate. In other words, the end effect and the electrical losses of the motor have been included in the motor equivalent circuit. Then equations of the reference model and adaptive mode...
متن کاملAssessment of direct torque control for induction motor drives
Among all control methods for induction motor drives, Direct Torque Control (DTC) seems to be particularly interesting being independent of machine rotor parameters and requiring no speed or position sensors. The DTC scheme is characterized by the absence of PI regulators, coordinate transformations, current regulators and PWM signals generators. In spite of its simplicity, DTC allows a good to...
متن کاملOptimal Design of Motor and Gear for Drives With High Acceleration by Consideration of Torque– Speed and Torque–Acceleration Product
The design of drives for high accelerating loads becomes very simple and clear with the fact that the torque– acceleration product is transmitted unchanged by an ideal gear, just like in the case of the torque–speed product (i.e., mechanical power). With this knowledge, it is easy to determine the required rated power and power rate a motor must possess for driving a given load with the specifi...
متن کاملMRAS state estimator for speed sensorless ISFOC induction motor drives with Luenberger load torque estimation.
This paper presents a novel method for estimating the load torque of a sensorless indirect stator flux oriented controlled (ISFOC) induction motor drive based on the model reference adaptive system (MRAS) scheme. As a matter of fact, this method is meant to inter-connect a speed estimator with the load torque observer. For this purpose, a MRAS has been applied to estimate the rotor speed with t...
